Why More People Are Seeing Physicians
More and more people are seeing physicians on a regular basis. Why is this?
Patients often ask Dr. Murray, "Are there more people getting hurt?"
It seems like people are getting hurt al the time and visit the doctor more often. When in reality, that is not the case at all. There are two factors that play into why it seems that way.

Dr. Murray explains that there are more doctors readily available, not only on the sidelines, but in the office as well. MOst also have next day availability. Compared to back in the day, where this wasn't the case at all. It also seems like there are more people visiting the doctor now because of the sheer number of athletes playing sports. Theer's clubs, high school and other sporting events.
"There is not necessarily more people getting hurt than were several years ago. It's just our populations expanding. There's so many people doing sports."
A shoulder replacement is commonly the last option. A shoulder replacement becomes a topic of conversation when a patient’s quality of life and function of daily activities becomes derailed. When pain and dysfunction disrupt a patient's sleep patterns, Dr. Hinchey is happy to offer, if appropriate, a shoulder replacement as a treatment option.
